Petition: Support Micro Early-Adopters!

Show your support for early adopters of renewable electricity generation, by signing this online petition: We petition the PM and the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) to reconsider its decision to place early adopters of alternative energy systems on a very poor Feed in Tariff rate. The Government is introducing a system of feed-in tariffs to incentivise small scale, low carbon electricity generation. However, there is a major flaw in the scheme: for the pioneers who installed their microgenerator before July 15th 2009 the government is offering much lower payments. This is plainly unfair.

The UK microgeneration industry owes its existence to the early adopters who installed their own generation equipment because they wanted to make a difference to climate change. Many invested their life savings in such schemes because they believed it was the right thing to do - and they deserve to be recognised and rewarded for their entrepreneurial attitude, not penalised. We believe that green energy entrepreneurs should not be worse off under the new scheme.

If you are a UK resident, you can sign the online petition to show your support for early adopters of renewable technologies.
