Trimingham Radar is turbine-ready

It has just come to our attention that the MoD radar station at Trimingham, on the North Norfolk coast, has been upgraded with innovative radar technology that prevents interference from wind farms.

The story first came to light in a news article by Lucy Clapham the Eastern Daily Press (September 2011): New radar at Trimingham leads wind farm boost. John Constable of the Renewable Energy Foundation was quoted with a guarded welcome: "The industry may (think) a solution is still, to a degree, uncertain and maybe waiting to see what happens at Trimingham."

The MoD had always been positive about Unity Wind's North Walsham wind turbine proposal, but there should now be absolutely no concerns for them. We are surprised that they have not already informed us of the upgrade, and will be in touch with them to confirm the situation.
