This is the website which will show the progress of the proposed wind turbines for North Walsham.
Pages will be updated as the project developes.
If you would like to support the project, the immediate need is for £15,000 for the wind monitoring mast and also funding for the Environmental Impact Assessment and grid survey. Offers have been received - thank you - but more is needed.
Any contributions will be repaid ‘threefold’ when the turbines become operational. You can register to do this via the ‘Get Involved’ menu link or you can call Alicia Hull on 01263 761471 or send an email.
Planning permission has been granted for the mast to be erected behind Wall Engineering.
UnityWind is the company to be set up to administer investments in the project and the distribution of profit resulting from the turbines. The North Norfolk Environment Forum will be responsible for setting this up. They are all local people.
It is likely that UnityWind will take the form of an Industrial and Provident Society. e.g. the Nationwide Building Society.
